Prime Minister Edi Rama, in his speech in Parliament, also spoke about justice and the progress of the negotiations.

Rama said that Albania today, for the first time in history, is fighting corruption and this is happening thanks to the Socialist Party.

The Prime Minister once again mocked the opposition regarding justice.

Rama said that if it weren't for the Socialists, independent justice would be slammed against the wall by those who are currently slamming themselves.

 

" Albania does not stop, because we have entered a decisive phase, which received new impetus yesterday in Brussels, where not only did we open all the chapters of the negotiations but we were awarded the most positive marks precisely because not only have we strictly adhered to all the tasks and practically today we are in first place for fulfilling all those requirements foreseen by the new growth plan, the summit for which will be held here in Tirana. We are especially appreciated for the fact that we are cursed non-stop by those who today were putting me in a big debt with this spectacular view that they are offering me, precisely for justice, reform, respect for independence and the fact that if today Albania for the first time in history is fighting corruption, investigating without distinction, has placed at the same level in the legislative budget the flag of the independence of the judiciary, it is the exclusive merit of the SP, but it is universally known that the SP is also the exclusive guarantor of that independence. Imagine for a moment how they would slam it against the wall "Those who have been silent about independent justice for a long time will continue to only attack themselves ," Rama said./CNA
