"Melon, Italy's big sister"/ Rama: We signed concrete projects

Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that the agreements signed today between the Albanian-Italian governments are related to concrete joint projects between the two countries.

In his speech at a joint conference, Rama said that the projects are divided into several fields, where he singled out defense.

Rama also expressed his appreciation for his counterpart Giorgia Meloni, whom he called Italy's 'big sister'.

"Today is an absolutely historic day for us. Every time I go to NATO, I hear talk about a historic day, but the historic day is here today. Because for the first time, the Albanian government and the Italian government are talking about joint projects and a common future. But also about a balance of things that have been done and to sign concrete agreements for concrete projects. In the years that I have had the privilege of leading the government, I have never had any doubt about the good intentions of the Italian governments, but not like in this government because not only the Big Sister of Italy is ready. I hope it is not taken badly, but thanks to the fraternal commitment of Italy, we are able to project in several directions to strengthen our defense capabilities", said Rama. /CNA
