The Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Enea Karakaçi, shared some details this Thursday regarding important projects that are currently being worked on.

As he emphasized during the interpellation in the Assembly, Katrakaçi said that the Shkodra access road will be completed by June 23.

According to the minister, the Bahçalëk Bridge project will be completed in December 2026.

As for the Milot-Balldren axis, Karakaçi said that there is a two-week delay because the concession is in the final phase.

"We are in compliance with the terms of the contract. Since May, it has been accessible in both lanes. It will be completed within the deadline, by June 23rd it will be completed. A roundabout has been added that was considered necessary for the communication of residents and businesses on both sides of the road. I am unhappy because mobility is lost, but road projects are also related to the interconnection of residents.

The Bahçalëk bridge will be completed by November-December 2026. The river has been at a high level and it is impossible to work on it.

Regarding the Dukagjini road, the anticipated works have been completed and approved during 2025 in accordance with the deadlines.

Mati Bridge, there was intervention at the foot of the bridge so that we would not be in danger. That bridge is part of the World Bank project for the complete re-asphalting. I believe the re-asphalting of that bridge should begin in September.

The Lezha Bridge is under attention and field teams are under constant monitoring.

Milot-Balldreni is an extremely important project. That axis is in the off-season and is beyond capacity. The winner should have been announced by May 20, I apologize because I miss those two weeks. The Milot-Balldreni project is in the concession phase, it is in the final phase", said Karakaçi. /CNA
