The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, spoke again about the Zvërnec issue at today's parliamentary group meeting. Berisha said that the DP fully agrees and supports foreign investments.

Focusing on Sazani, Berisha said that those who are worried about the island are a group of hypocrites, since nothing is destroyed in Sazan.

Further, in his speech, the Democrat leader stated that his party is the party that has increased the area of ??protected areas from 3% to 16%.

I ask for your understanding, let's go back 2 or 3 years ago when the news was given that the company had shown special interest and would invest in Sazan and Zvërnec. My reaction to this news was, I completely agree. Why? Because it has the money. For me, the country's interest comes before Rama. As for the island, those who cry the elegy of Sazan are a group of hypocrites that nothing is destroyed in Sazan. Zvërnec is private land in its entirety. We support foreign investment, but we fully stand for respecting the environment. I say to environmentalists that it is this party that has increased the protected areas from 3-16%. The one who came after has removed 110 thousand hectares of protected areas from the coast and added them to the mountains behind Dajti ", said Berisha.
