Hasimja informs Berisha: Call my candidacy submitted and review it

Political scientist Ermal Hasimja, invited to Euronews, addresses the leader of the Democratic Party, where he has asked for support for his candidacy for the Municipality of Tirana.

Hasimja said that he is publicly presenting his candidacy for the capital and, in addition to the DP, has also sought the support of other opposition parties.

The political scientist's statement comes after the DP announced that they would support independent candidates. Hasimja said that he meets all the criteria that the opposition has presented and said that Berisha can officially call his candidacy submitted.

" It seems to me that the logical position is for a united opposition to come up with an independent candidate, who will be supported by a large majority of opposition parties. Berisha has asked that other candidates also express their wishes and ambitions. Given this opportunity, I am addressing Mr. Berisha and the leadership of the Democratic Party, as well as other opposition forces, by publicly presenting my candidacy for the head of the Municipality of Tirana, with the same criteria that he has defined: independent candidate, without a specific party logo, supported by the majority of the opposition. Therefore, Mr. Berisha can consider my candidacy submitted and consider it ," said Hasimja./CNA
