Ervin Salianji, as one of Lulzim Basha's close associates, seems to have adopted his style of public statements, as he declared today that he will take the issue of the Democratic Party's statute to court.

Invited to the "Now" show on Euronews Albania, Salianji stated that the party chairman's mandate ends if the DP does not emerge as the leading force after the next parliamentary elections.

"This provision is foreseen in the statute and can be used to request the termination of Sali Berisha's mandate as head of the DP. I will follow the legal path on this issue," said Salianji.

It seems that Salianji is following the same game as Basha, that of taking the party hostage and, like the latter, will again deal with the seal, the court decisions, while this time threatening the Democrats.

But all of Salianji's actions are purely and simply for bargaining. It is pointless to discuss a victory over Berisha, especially for individuals like Salianji, who greeted the Democrats with a cane at the DP headquarters during Luli's time.
