"Galoping increase in oil prices"/ Boçi: Rama is spreading

The Vice President of the Democratic Party, Luciano Boçi, today spoke extensively about the issue of oil prices, influenced by the situation in the Middle East.

Invited to "Syri Tv", Boçi stated that the price of oil in Albania experienced a rapid increase, compared to countries in the region.

According to Boçi, despite the fact that oil is the basic product of transportation, state mechanisms are needed to ease the fiscal burden, which affects the daily lives of Albanians, as he accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of making propaganda regarding this issue.

"Let's not forget here that famous statement of the Minister of Infrastructure, who on the eve of the increase in prices due to the war, declared that Albania is not impacted by Iranian oil, by the obstacle in the Strait of Hormuz, but in the meantime the price of oil is increasing rapidly, and the difference in this price in relation to the countries of the region is very large, but not only with the countries of the region, but also with other EU countries. If in those countries it goes up to 1.8 euros, now in Albania it is 2.4 euros, if we take it at the exchange rate that the lek has with the euro.

And of course, since oil is the basic product of transportation and many other elements, it also impacts the increase in prices of all products. And here government intervention is necessary because it has all the mechanisms to alleviate a certain fiscal burden on this product, in order for not only the price of oil, but also other products related to the daily life of every Albanian, and of those who do not have a car, to be at levels that are affordable. Because today a large part seems to have to disburse a lot of money to eat, to provide transportation or to perform those services and necessities that the citizen has throughout his day. Is there readiness?

Rama is used to doing propaganda, building a board, claiming excise tax reductions, claiming market control and in fact doing none of these things. His attention, naturally, is on his position, on the difficulty he has in relation to justice and he certainly seeks at the same time, with supposedly legal initiatives, to divert attention, whether from the economic crisis that has already hit Albania, manifested in many dimensions, or from the corruption crisis, let's say as a new term, in which he finds himself and from which it clearly seems that there will be no escape, simply prolonging his time until he himself appears like Balluku and the others in front of the doors of SPAK for all those corruption affairs where his hand is the main hand and where he is immersed head to toe.

I consider here especially the AKSHI, plus the affairs of incinerators or concessions or roads that have already exploded and public opinion is very clear about this, but not only public opinion, but also the international factor, which in a kind of impasse, but whatever it is, has clearly expressed its positions with light and shade in some cases, but there is a very big development in relation to the way they see Edi Rama and the Albanian government today. It is known that Albania has already stalled in its negotiations, the fault is not the Albanians and the main fault is Edi Rama, his behavior with justice, but also with corruption among members of the government, but also with himself.

I believe here that there is an acceptability of speculation in the fuel market. While the Prime Minister himself states that the evasion is extraordinary, it took this day for him to declare it, which he did not know until now. While his measures are very simple, very common, while an extraordinary intervention would be needed. We have often drawn this attention because the declared amount of oil in Albania remains almost the same over the years, while the number of cars is very well known, it increases year after year at a high rate. And Albanians no longer have one car, but two cars, but the amount of oil and fuel surprisingly remains the same, "- declared Boçi./CNA
