The killer we raise!

In that small resting place between the crammed palaces, the smell of hashish regularly wafted to the nose. And just as brutally, the image of teenagers, who smoke without being bothered at all by the presence of passers-by, collides in the face.

"In my class, even the girls carry lighters and sticks," my friend's 14-year-old son tells me.

"Yes, yes, I smoke in school bathrooms and from what I heard from the teacher, syringes were also found in them. What they don't see and hear are their walls!", my friend continues fluently in her explanations, as she is surprised by my surprise. Because I am the mother of a 13-year-old, how can I not know that these are the normality of today's teenagers?!

But it was not the surprise that was tearing my eyes, but the horror, because instinctively every story brought to mind my little one in similar environments and behavior.

I have daily arguments with him at this stage of life, he often accuses me of being from a different generation and that things have changed a lot. I also did it with my parents, a popular sport. They were also stressed with me, they blinked and scolded, they were terrified and endured sleepless nights since my adolescence and not necessarily because of my fault. In my adolescence, guns were in the square, kidnappings were done in the middle of the city, threats and murders happened before dusk. Because democracy is misunderstood, freedom is misused, poverty is screaming, openness to the world is rapid, society is unprepared, politics is untested, institutions are fragile, the media is insufficient, civil society is unformed.

My classmate was paralyzed by a blind bullet inside her house while watching a children's program. Armando's father was lost in the mountains of the border with Greece. Kreuza's sister ended up without a trace in Italy, where her fiance had taken her. Dad started accompanying me to training because the buses were unsafe. One of the girls of the team was raped on her way home by two boys who got off at the same station as her.

Ingrid's father was killed below the building, at the entrance to the ground floor refuge, for a sermi pendant, which a 15-year-old boy tried to steal from his stall, where he sold tirelessly to raise his three daughters. The woman had died in the maternity ward, due to the lack of an apparatus.

And Yes, every time has carried terrible risks, especially for the most vulnerable generation, teenagers, those still children, but in a hurry to grow, taught by hormones. Controlled or not, educated or not, all exposed to society, which we create in a given moment.

Today, social networks are the umbilical cord, which we do not know how to thin in our relations with them. It feeds their fragile psyche and reckless brain with monstrous, uncensored, criminal, pathological and easily accessible shows. Pornography, violence, bastardy and serious psycho-social deviations are a click away. Seize the cell phone, the iPad, the laptop, a friend will be found again in the classroom, at school, on the course, in sports, on the street, who will ease the bridge to virtual madness. If his day is not filled with stimulating activities, he will surrender to that ritual.

Drugs roam unchallenged near school railings. Unruly parents, obsessed with money, lost in debts, loans, gambling, forget about drinking, cocaine, ecstasy, obsessed with lovers for "good life", have no time and nerve to communicate with their children. Left on the cell phone, they find him asleep, while the sound of the washing machine that the poor woman has put on last after the strain of daily chores, alone, abandoned, left her, also broke the bed linen.

Others have been haunted by jealousy, accounts of other people's lives, photos of other people's luxury, while they are too lazy to work and know that there are short, fast, albeit dirty paths to "blessing". And where is there more time for education, cultivation of values ??and strengthening of principles, but what are these "thagmas" of scumbags?! Why work with honor and wait for the salary, which is not enough, when you can become your own "master" as a trafficker, contract killer, escort, patronageist, propagandist, thief, onlyfans, money launderer, shepherd house, maintenance... aren't these the "successful" people of media, social networks, music, podcasts, music videos with millions of views? Isn't the psychosis of society bombarded with "nuclear" power to make it obedient to any agenda?

But weren't the institutions of education, culture, the art of education, civil society crushed by raising on them the cults of degeneration, ignorance, violence and subjugation? But why, what did we expect this rusty "factory" to produce, which produces knowledge, morals, ethics? But why, what would this stinking swamp even hatch?

How could the institutions of knowledge, culture, and spirit have crumbled more severely from my adolescence to that of my daughter? If the crossing of systems in my adolescence produced civil war and moral and psychic turmoil, how can my daughter's adolescence be challenged even more severely in times of peace, freedom and democracy, not being protected by any strong institution?

And YES, the murder and macabre violence of teenagers is the first news in every country, but the difference is in the way societies react and that structure organized by it, which is called the state.

Tell me about the family, about the school, about the police, about the media, about the health, about the psychologists, about the culture, about the air, about the water that I drink, about the salaries, about the roads, about the sun, about faith, about the economy, about the books, about google searches, for passions, for memories, for the government, for leaders, for the dreams of a society and I'll tell you how many other 14-year-old Marthas we will lose from a knife, from a punch, from a bullet, from a visa , from a rape, from an accident, from a suicide, from an abandonment, from ignorance and apathy!

Teenagers are killed everywhere, but the most terrible murders are similar in Albania. Because we are programmed to accept total evil. To survive the chaos. Because the wolf, damn it, loves the fog. We raise the wolf. Yes, yes, we!/ CNA
