Tsipras and the lessons that our leaders, hostages of democracy, do not receive

Alexis Tsipras today, three days after losing the May 25 elections, resigned from the leadership of SYRIZA and guaranteed that he will not be a candidate in the process of choosing the new leadership.

In dramatic tones and with a strong personal element, the current leader of the party, since 3.5% governed Greece in 2015, Alexis Tsipras explained how for him and the party he led until today, a historical cycle ended and a new one was opening. another that will be marked as the re-establishment of SYRIZA.

Tsipras spoke of a new wave, a wave, that his political force is facing:

"I understand the need for a new wave of SYRIZA momentum. And I decided to pull over for her to pass. I have faith, that's why I decided to propose the election of a new leadership by the members of the Party, as provided for in its statute. Immediate recourse to relevant procedures. In which, of course, I will not be a candidate. But I will be present before, during and after them."

"This decision has an element of pain for me, as it would for anyone. But there is also an element of personal challenge. I testify with my attitude and example that in life, in politics, especially in politics that refers to values, you can be combative and creative, maybe in some cases even more useful and without office. To prove that the battle for ideas and offers is not determined by the armchair you hold." - he said.

But the translation and interpretation of his statements lead to a different conclusion. His phrase, "I will remain present ", can also be interpreted as a foreshadowing of a discrete continuation.

According to the probability, Alexis Tsipras will probably be the chairman of the parliamentary group, while another chairman will emerge from the elections in this party.

So, in a way, continuity is guaranteed.

In his resignation statement, Tsipras spoke about the need to re-establish SYRIZA and the immediate need to meet again with the values: Unity, selflessness and social responsibility; bold top-down vertical renewal and an end to old mindsets.

He spoke about the need to re-establish a new party, which will be able to read with modesty and with open eyes the new contrasts and new currents of society, the new challenges of the time and respond to the expectations of those that he wants and has chosen to represent.

According to him, the negative election result can and should be the beginning of the re-establishment. The Greek electorate gave SYRIZA a double mandate. First, to answer the role of the official opposition. And secondly, to change drastically, if he will return to the government.

He therefore demanded immediate reorganization and without any delay. Not to allow a single day to be lost both in dealing with power and in dealing with weaknesses, pathologies and internal problems. A process of deep renewal and re-establishment, which will include all party members, but also friends and social groups that the party will represent.

According to him, the re-establishment of the new party is an immediate priority, which is not only related to the party, but to the quality of democracy, resistance to government policies, etc.

Today Tsipras made radical decisions because he was asked by History to stand up. In front of those with whom he had walked, fought, tried. In front of those who had believed in the prince from au. He also stood in front of himself. He also stood in front of those he had fought and by whom he had been fought.

What about our leaders in Albania?

I would very much like to hear such a statement from them, which would be reflection, deep analysis and not just accusations.

I would like to hear and see honest, open, measured and democratic reflection and not statements about wheels, steering wheels and pans to the sound of a trumpet or a bagpipe; or breaking skulls and revolutions.

But this is the level of our democracy. Democracy is always full of chaos and division.

Democracy that gave place or name to those who abused history, passion, naivety, idealism, why not the ignorance of Albanians. Democracy that gave a platform to vagabonds and scoundrels who exploited everything…

That brought the motherland, Democracy to its knees.

32 years we feel betrayed. An endless story of betrayal...

32 years of the same people, 32 years of the same leaders, who raise their careers on the "yes" of interests and the pain of the revolted, on the backs of nationalists, on the "no" of selfishness, who maintain personal power and each other to the detriment of Albania and holding democracy hostage.
