Instat's labor force survey shows that Albania is moving safely towards bankruptcy in the labor market.

In the first quarter of this year, according to this study, 17,000 pensioners, i.e. citizens over the age of 65, were employed in Albania. And the number of employees aged between 15 and 64 decreased by 12,000 people!

These figures are dramatic evidence of the consequences of the genocidal policy, the expulsion of Albanians from the country by the regime of Edi Rama.

INSTAT: Pensioners, the locomotive of the labor market

The Labor Force Survey, the publication which reports the official indicators of unemployment in Albania, is a statistical "treasure". Consider only two indicators.

According to the Institute of Statistics, in the first quarter of the year the total number of employees in Albania increased by 5 thousand people. For the same period, the number of employees aged between 15 and 64 decreased by 12,000.

What does this mean? Since the first quarter of the year, Albania employed 17,000 pensioners aged over 65. With this panorama, which the official unemployment figures report, the locomotive of employment growth in Albania is the pensioners.

But it doesn't end there. The vast majority of the decline in employment among 15-64 year olds came from young people. According to INSTAT, in the first quarter of the year, the number of employees aged 15-29 decreased by 11.5 thousand people, falling to 264 thousand people from 274.5 thousand in the last quarter of last year.

So young people, those who are the most economically vital age, have massively lost their jobs. But overall, employment has been increased by the army of retirees, who appear to be leading employment growth in the economy.

In short, all pensioners at work. We are now waiting for INSTAT to report the sectors where the employment growth came from. Because with these statistics, it would not be a surprise if it turned out that the increase in employment came from the IT sector or the aeronautical industry./CNA
