The real opponent is in the center!
Ardi Stefa

Much is written and spoken about the re-dimensioning, re-functioning, restructuring and rearranging of the political scene.

Most of the analysts in what they express and say are generally in the wrong direction!

Almost all of them focus on the efforts of the official DP or "Reestablishment" to rise again, to reform their positions, in order to respond to the times, the political scene, but also the current desires and perceptions of Albanians. take the role of the official opposition and tomorrow be an alternative government.

Another part of analysts focus on SP and its role as the indisputable governing majority and on the fact that this governing majority should also turn into a political alternative and programmatic force.

It's just that neither of these two parties is able to take positions and present proposals capable of presenting reality, of presenting alternatives; to entice the electorate with non-populist statements and attitudes. Because, contrary to what many salary analysts believe and trumpet, such attitudes do not exist. Not only in Albania, but nowhere in Europe and the rest of the world.

Everything modern in politics, which answers the test of logic, is now expressed not by the official position or opposition, but by the party, which is actually the majority; from those who do not vote in elections, but that, in fact, their non-voting is, for better or worse, a political stance. And this party, which mostly belongs to the liberal center right, is the majority.

But who are those citizens who "adhere" to this party?

It is those citizens who get up in the morning to go to their jobs, who carry the anxieties of everyday life and their existence, who struggle and try to meet their obligations, sometimes with success, sometimes not!

It is the people of honest work, who watch every day that the honest money they earn leaves their pockets without even entering them.

They are those citizens whose vote is not read or their voice is heard; they are the citizens who look at the political system, which ignores and despises them. Who turns to them when he needs them, but then forgets them.

Precisely, these honest people, I think, want and demand what is clear and understandable: A political system, which has learned from previous mistakes with consequences that are already known by everyone, which the ordinary citizen was invited to paid to prevent them from happening again.

And when this citizen, who has already paid, sees behavior and practices, which he excluded and did not accept to be repeated, then he revolts, closes in his shell and abstains, does not vote.

The fortunes of current politics, governing or pretending to govern, are henceforth destined to shrink.

The only space that with today's data can stay and move forward with functional proposals for the future and revitalization of Albanian society is the gray part, the moderate part, which avoids divisive, aggressive rhetoric.

By this I do not mean the abrogation of all traditional "conservative" notions of politics and rhetoric or views identified with factions in favor of one or the other party. Nor the use or misuse of some grotesque figures with little or no awareness of social analysis and the concepts of tactics and strategy.

In the peaceful center, which demands the conclusion of the transition, the vote, or not to vote, which they have never read or understood properly, the political concept is identified with genuine liberal views, with ideas about the rule of freedom and respect for the law.

In practice, these are related to several policy areas, which affect the daily life of citizens, the functioning of executive or independent institutions and the prospects of the economy and society.

This is where the real threat begins for the government, the political elites who have not been around for 33 years in Albania. Because this space is still essentially politically uncovered. If Albanian politics does not understand that this is where the real concern of a large part of its electorate lies and how it should behave in politics, in order to include this part of the electorate and fulfill its demands.

The first important requirement is respect for institutions. The values ??of meritocracy, dignity of the individual personality, respect for the hierarchy, history and values ??of each should prevail here.

And the most important thing is to respect the rule of law, the laws that protect citizens and their individual rights. Therefore, all illegalities must be dealt with and public order must be protected. Law breakers should not be tolerated. Otherwise, what is the need for public order enforcement mechanisms?

Another big demand is that of immigration, which is directly related to depopulation. And emigration, which is a normal phenomenon today, is not only related to the demand for a better life for yourself and your family. But it is also related to the fact that the Albanian policy of both sides, both in the government and in the opposition, despite the rhetoric, has invested in emigration or depopulation.

But in order to be coherent and to maintain cohesion, the consequences of emigration and depopulation in Albanian society suffer precisely from the "gray electorate", those who do not vote in elections.

The next requirement is the fight against arrogance and corruption, which has entered every cell of political and state life. Albanian society suffers to the core from state arrogance and corruption. From the head of state, to the simplest and most ordinary employee of a municipality. This is precisely what the Albanian society, which seems to have submitted to this way of life, rejects, to show that it has not submitted.

But it rejects it by not voting, suffers it by being misgoverned by the arrogant and corrupt.

The more rational treatment of the economy is another area that influences the choice not to vote. Based on the dominance of freedom of choice and the limitation of rules, taxes and government austerity measures, but also large public expenditures. All this together with the construction of a small and rational state, the minimization of bureaucracy and the reduction of the number of state employees, etc.

For the "center party", low-quality education, public health, order and security that are threatened every day are demands that seek and find no solution in the current policy.

Analysts should focus on this party, its demands, and not on the analysis of the old parties, which have proven their destructive power for Albania and the Albanian society.
