Famous French actress Brigitte Bardot denied the news published by some bloggers that she had passed away.

 "I don't know who the idiot is who announced this fake news about my 'disappearance' tonight, but you should know that I am fine and I have no intention of dying. I say this for those who find out...", Bardot wrote, in a post on her 'X' account. 

Last weekend, the actress returned home after a surgical procedure that forced her to remain under hospital treatment in a hospital in Toulon. 

Brigitte Bardot's spokesman announced that the French cinema icon underwent a minor surgical procedure at Saint-Je's hospital, which he said went well.

"She is now resting at home and will not answer any questions and thanks everyone for respecting her privacy and peace," the French diva's spokesperson added.

The 91-year-old Bardot gave up cinema in the 1970s to devote herself to animal rights. She lives between her famous residence "La Madrague", in Saint-Tropez, in the south of France, and a second house hidden in the greenery.
