The Switzerland-Serbia match a few days ago was one of the sporting events that brought many reactions in Albania, and everywhere there are Albanians.

The echo of these reactions has continued even today.

Recently, there was the statement of the Serbian singer Maja Nikolic, who surprised the entire public opinion with her statement.

Invited to a sports show in Serbia, she commented on the developments in the world championship in Qatar.

While commenting on the Serbia-Switzerland match, the Serbian newspaper "Alo" had reported that the singer had spoken with Xherdan Shaqiri before and shared the conversation with him.  

 “Ajo që njerëzit nuk e dinë është se Shaqiri më ka dërguar përshëndetje nga dhoma e zhveshjes ku kanë luajtur këngët e mia. Ata luajtën “Të gjithë më mashtruan” – tha Nikoliç e cila shtoi: U thashë, mos më përshëndetni, derisa të na kërkoni falje publike. Ku më gjete, turp të kesh atdhetar, si më pershendet? Nuk më intereson të më dëgjojnë zviceranët dhe disa Shaqirë që e urrejnë Serbinë. Unë thashë që urrejtësit e serbëve nuk duhet të më përshëndesin” – përfundoi Nikoliç.

Por si qëndron e vërteta? Pas bujës së madhe që bëri ky lajm ka reaguar vetë këngëtarja.

Përmes një postimi në rrjetet sociale ajo ka treguar se nuk është takuar kurrë me futbollistin Xherdan Shaqiri.

 "Please don't write this fake news. Don't involve me with such people. I do not know this man, we have never had contact and it is not fair to write about someone who called me when we have never met. It was just a video from a show, but the media has distorted my statement," she writes.
