Pse disa njerëz zgjohen më herët? E zbulon shkenca

Duke studiuar pjesë të ADN-së së Neandertalit që mbartin edhe njerëzit modernë, shkencëtarët kanë arritur në përfundimin se këto gjene mund të shpjegojnë pse disa njerëz zgjohen herët.

John Capra, nga Universiteti i Kalifornisë, drejtoi një studim që tregoi se variante të ndryshme gjenesh kontrollojnë orët biologjike të njeriut dhe se disa prej tyre, të cilat përputhen me ADN-në e Neandertalit, lidhen me zgjimin e hershëm.

Për të testuar teorinë, shkencëtarët iu drejtuan britanikes "UK Biobank", e cila përmban mostra dhe të dhëna për gjysmë milioni njerëz dhe zbuluan "jo vetëm se shumë njerëz e mbartin këtë variant, por edhe se gjenet lidhen me zgjimin herët".

"Ne nuk mendojmë se zgjimi herët është ajo që i ndihmoi paraardhësit tanë. Ne përfituam më shumë nga një orë biologjike që ishte më e mirë në përshtatjen me variacionet sezonale të niveleve të dritës," shtoi Capra.

Njerëzit modernë kanë rreth katër për qind të ADN-së së Neandertalit, e cila, përveç gjumit, ndikon edhe në pigmentimin e lëkurës, flokët, yndyrën dhe imunitetin./CNA
