The son of Laert Haxhi's aunt is released from prison

The Special Court has released from prison Enio Meçaj, who is the son of the aunt of Laert Haxhi, the latter arrested in Greece.

The request to change the security measure from "arrest in prison" to "compulsion to appear" is said to have been made by the prosecutor of the case, Behar Dibra, and subsequently approved by the court.

Meçaj is suspected of having the associate of justice Artan Tafanin for hiding some evidence in a garage in Tirana, after the latter committed theft in an exchange in Tirana.

Meçajn has been charged with "actions that prevent the discovery of the truth", and according to prosecutor Dibra, the offense for which he is under investigation does not pose a danger./ CNA
