The police have handcuffed FM citizen, 53 years old, resident of Kukës.

This citizen was declared wanted, after the Special Court of the First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Aiding for illegal border crossing", committed in the form of special cooperation, "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by criminal organization or criminal group".

The operation continues for the capture of the citizen AM, 45 years old, based in Tirana.

In cooperation with the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, work continues to clarify and document other events where these citizens may have been involved.

Operation "SAFE TRIP" was finalized after the successful completion of a proactive investigation, which took place for a period of about 1 year, within which, with the support and guidance of the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, the criminal activity of a structured group, which was actively involved in adult trafficking and providing assistance for illegal border crossing, was documented and revealed.

The investigation began based on the information collected by the Sector for the Investigation of Criminal Groups in the Investigative Directorate in the General Directorate of the State Police, for citizens and subjects, who provided conditions for citizens of different countries, to arrive in our country, with in order to continue their journey towards EU countries./ CNA
