Since April 13, the police have started searching for a 3-year-old boy, who is suspected of being held unjustly by his grandparents.

The Blues are still continuing the search, while it is known that checks have been carried out in several apartments of the relatives of the 3-year-old's grandmother, in Kukës and in Has, where there were indications that the minor could be kept.

Until now, the grandfather of the 3-year-old with the initials R. Gj has been detained for this matter. and the grandmother's brother of the 3-year-old with the initials AS

The grandmother of the 3-year-old with the initials B. Gj has also been declared wanted. And the other brother of the 57-year-old FS

The police announce that they are continuing without interruption the search for the 3-year-old, for the capture of the 2 wanted persons, as well as for the identification and prosecution of other citizens who may have been implicated in this case.

Searches and in-depth investigative actions for the case are being carried out by the Durres Police, under the direction of the Durres Prosecutor's Office.

Following the work being carried out by the Police, with the aim of finding the 3-year-old boy who was taken from his mother on 13.04.2024, and who is suspected of being held unjustly, by his grandparents, as well as with in order to individualize criminal responsibility for this case, we inform you that:

The Durrës Police Station, in cooperation with the Kukës Local Police Directorate, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Durrës General Jurisdiction, have carried out checks in several apartments of the relatives of the grandmother of the 3-year-old, in Kukës and in Has, where there was an indication that the minor could be kept.

Also, citizens R. Gj., 60 years old, grandfather of the 3-year-old, resident in Durrës, and AS, 49 years old, brother of the grandmother of the 3-year-old, resident in Has, were detained. Furthermore, citizens B. Gj., 57 years old, the grandmother of the 3-year-old, living in Durrës, and FS, 43 years old, the other brother of the 57-year-old, living in Has, have been declared wanted.

The State Police, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is continuing the search for the 3-year-old, for the capture of the 2 wanted citizens, for the individualization of the criminal responsibility of these 4 citizens, as well as for the identification and bringing before the criminal responsibility of other citizens who may have been implicated in this case./ CNA
