Basha's former candidate for Vora is arrested

The Tirana police have arrested the former mayor of Bërxulla Municipality, Ymer Marku and 2 former officials and 1 citizen. Citizens KB, 65 years old, AL, 53 years old, all three residents of Vorë, and KA, 60 years old, also ended up in the cell.

Ymer Marku together with the two former officials KB, AL, are accused of committing the criminal offense "Abuse of duty" and the citizen KA for the criminal offenses "Forgery of documents" and "Cleaning the proceeds of the criminal offense".

Ymer Marku was Lulzim Basha's candidate for Vora during the partial elections of 2022.

It is finalized by the Sector for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, in cooperation with the Sector of the Special Force of Special Operations and Research and the Police Station No. 7, police operation codenamed "Haunting".

The security measure "Arrest in prison" is executed for 4 citizens.

A land area of ??7500 m2 is seized, in the village of Bëxulle, municipality of Vorë.

Specialists of the Sector for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, in cooperation with the Sector of the Special Force of Special Operations and Research and Police Station No. 7, have finalized the coded police operation "Haunting", for the execution of the security measure "Arrest in prison", assigned by the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, for the criminal offenses "Abuse of duty" and "Forgery of documents", for citizens:

YM, 55 years old, KB, 65 years old, AL, 53 years old, all three living in Vorë, and KA, 60 years old, living in Kombinat.

From the verifications carried out, it was found that these citizens, in cooperation with each other, abusing their duties, falsified the documents of a piece of land, in the village of Bërxulle.

Also, as part of the operation, a land area of ??7500 m2 was seized in the village of Bëxulle, municipality of Vorë.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further actions./ CNA
