Action in Pogradec/ Extensions and stairs by the lake are being demolished

The construction inspectorate near the municipality has started the demolition of concrete bridges, additions and stairs, which had blocked the beach for citizens, not allowing access for the latter.

This release of public spaces comes just before the tourist season and the municipality says that the goal is for this area to be connected and be one with the beach of "U?kave", as a public beach space dedicated entirely to citizens.

The demolition action has been interrupted to continue on Tuesday, as some minor interventions by engineers have to be done at a pump station in the area.

On the part of the residents, there was no resistance to the demolitions, as they were notified earlier about voluntary demolitions.
