Weapons seized by the Police

A day ago, the Tirana Police arrested 6 people, who were caught with an arsenal of weapons, which they were trafficking from Shkodra to the capital, where they would sell them to criminal groups. 

It is reported that the former officer of the Prison Police, Denisa Halilaj, one of the arrested, has denied before the investigators that she knew that there were weapons in the second BMW car.

According to her, the group of boys had told her that they would go to Tirana to accompany some people and it was never mentioned to her that an arsenal of weapons would be sold.

The 22-year-old told the investigators that she would accompany several people to the capital. 

The other 4 arrested, Denis Hasaj, Marjan Hasaj, Redi Nika and Sabian Hasaj, have kept their mouths shut before the investigators, not revealing any details about the sale of weapons, including the names of the persons to whom they were to be sold in Tirana.

The 9 seized weapons (4 automatics and 5 rifles) turn out to be from '97, stored since that time, but are active and in use./ CNA
