Zelensky: US security guarantees for Ukraine are set for 15 years

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared more details about what was discussed and agreed upon in his meeting with US President Donald Trump on Sunday in Florida.

Zelensky told reporters that US security guarantees for Ukraine are set for a period of 15 years, with the possibility of extension.

During the joint press conference after the talks at Mar-a-Lago, the Ukrainian president said that US security guarantees for Ukraine were 100% agreed upon.

"We have great achievements, the 20-point peace plan is 90% agreed upon and the US-Ukraine security guarantees are 100% agreed upon. The US, European and Ukrainian security guarantees are almost agreed upon. The military dimension is 100% agreed upon," Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian president stated that the guarantees are indeed strong, although at the moment, they are not permanent.

The next meeting at the level of advisors between representatives of the US, Ukraine and Europe will take place in the coming days, as Kiev has already contacted all advisors involved in the process. /CNA
