Zelenskiy is involved in an accident/ Investigations begin

The car in which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy was traveling was involved in a road accident in Kiev, but according to his spokesman, Serhii Nykyforov, he (the president) suffered minor injuries. Mr. Nykyforov made the announcement in a Facebook post.

Mr Nykyforov, who did not give details of when the accident happened, said Mr Zelenskiy's car collided with a private vehicle.

" The president was examined by a doctor, but no serious injuries were found ," he wrote, adding that the accident will be investigated.

Medics accompanying Mr. Zelenskiy gave the driver of the private vehicle first aid and put him in an ambulance.

A few minutes after Mr. Nykyforov made the announcement on Facebook, President Zelenskiy's office released the video of his nightly speech./VOA
