Israeli military: Iran has launched over 400 ballistic missiles at Israel since

The Israeli military said on March 22 that Iran has fired over 400 ballistic missiles at Israel since the start of the war, claiming that about 92 percent of them have been shot down.

This data was made public a day after Iranian missiles hit two towns in southern Israel, leaving nearly 175 people injured.

"Iran has fired over 400 ballistic missiles. We have a high level of shooting them down. We have shot down about 92 percent of them," said Israeli military spokesman Nadav Shoshani.

One of the cities hit on Saturday was Dimona, where Israel's undeclared nuclear arsenal is widely believed to be located.

The missiles landed just five kilometers from the nuclear facility. The next town, Arad, was also hit by rockets, damaging several buildings.

Shoshani said the rockets launched on Saturday were "no different from ballistic missiles," adding that since the start of the war on February 28, there have been four direct strikes on Israel.

The cities that have been hit in the past three weeks include Tel Aviv, Beit Shemesh and Dimona. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged that Saturday was "a very difficult evening," urging residents to stay in shelters as soon as they hear sirens warning of attacks.

On Sunday, he visited the town of Arad, where he vowed to continue targeting Iranian officials.

"We will target the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps , this gang of criminals," he said.

" We will target them, their leaders, their buildings and economic assets ," Netanyahu added.

The United States and Israel on February 28 launched a joint military offensive against the Islamic Republic, codenamed Operation Epic Fury.

The goal was to destroy Iran's ballistic and military programs, prevent the development of nuclear weapons, and weaken the Tehran regime's defensive capabilities.

Iran responded with missile and drone attacks on Israel and US military bases in the Persian Gulf. /REL
