Urgent meetings of Borrell with Kurti and Vucic about license plates

The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, has planned to hold separate meetings with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vu?i?. A tripartite meeting is also expected afterwards. The representative of the European Union in the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Miroslav Lajçak, will also be present at these meetings.

The main topic of these meetings is to find a solution for the replacement of license plates issued by Serbia, which the government of Kosovo has declared illegal and requires their replacement with Kosovo license plates.

Për këtë problem është biseduar edhe më parë në Burksel por nuk është arritur akoma ndonjë marrëveshje përfundimtare deri kur do të zëvendësohet targat e lëshuara nga autoritetet e Serbisë me ato të Kosovës.

Zyra për Media e Borrellit ka konfirmuar se pas takimeve të ndara do të ketë edhe një takim të përbashkët.

Në njoftimin e BE thuhet se Përfaqësuesi i Lartë i BE-së, Borrell, do të nisë me takime të veçanta me secilin lider, duke filluar nga ora 08:00 e mëngjesit, e më pas do të ketë edhe një takim të përbashkët.

"Fokusi i takimit urgjent do të jetë gjetja e një rrugëdaljeje nga kriza aktuale dhe shmangia e çdo përshkallëzimi dhe tensioni të mëtejshëm në terren, me theks në targat dhe kthimin e serbëve të Kosovës në institucionet e Kosovës”, shkruan në këtë njoftim.
