Trump: Netanyahu has agreed to US plan to end Gaza war

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Monday that Ukraine is not a sovereign state, responding to accusations that Hungarian reconnaissance drones entered its airspace, another incident that has strained relations between Kiev and Budapest.
"Ukraine is not at war with Hungary, it is at war with Russia. It should be worried about drones on its eastern border," the Hungarian prime minister said during a conversation on a right-wing podcast.
"I trust my ministers, but let's say the drones entered a few meters there, and what happened? Ukraine is not an independent state. Ukraine is not a sovereign state. Ukraine is financed by us, the West finances it with weapons," Orbán declared.
In a response to Orban's comments, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said in a post on X, formerly Twitter, that the Hungarian leader continues to be "poisoned by Russian propaganda."
Unlike most NATO and European Union leaders, Orbán has maintained friendly ties with Russia, and has questioned the logic of Western military aid to Kiev, a stance that has often clashed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
On Friday, Zelensky said that the reconnaissance drones that violated Ukrainian airspace were launched from Hungary to check industrial potential in the western border areas.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has dismissed the accusations, saying Zelensky was "playing around".
In a sign of rising tensions between the two countries, Hungary said on Monday it would block access to 12 Ukrainian newspapers, following a similar move by Kiev.
Earlier this month, Ukraine blocked several online sites it deemed to have a pro-Russian stance. This included eight Hungarian-language portals, including one known to be pro-Hungarian./ REL
