NATO awards special award to Osmani: I dedicate it to the women of Kosovo, peace

The NATO Parliamentary Assembly has awarded Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani the "For Women, Peace and Security" award.

Through a post on social media, Osmani says that he dedicates the extraordinary award to the women of Kosovo who never gave up until freedom was achieved and to the mothers of those missing from the war in Kosovo.

 

" It is a special honor to receive the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Award for Women, Peace and Security today.

I dedicate this extraordinary award to the people of Kosovo, and in particular to the women of Kosovo, who with courage, dignity and dedication helped achieve freedom and build peace. It is an award for all the women who never gave up, for those who led the protests, the struggle and the building of institutions, for the champions of human rights, for the mothers who are still waiting for their loved ones who disappeared violently during the war, for the survivors who never stopped working for the cause of justice, and for the young women who today lead every field with faith and vision.
