"Clothes, laptops and phones"/ What Netanyahu's welcome package for the released hostages contains

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara Netanyahu, left a personal message for the hostages, who were released today by the Palestinian group Hamas after more than two years. The note from Netanyahu was left in welcome packages prepared for the hostages.

"On behalf of the entire people of Israel, welcome back! We have been waiting for you. We embrace you. Sara and Benjamin Netanyahu," the handwritten note in Hebrew reads.

Netanyahu's office shared a photo of the note on the "X" platform and announced that welcome packages for returning hostages include clothing and personal equipment such as a laptop, a cell phone and a tablet.

Hamas, which attacked Israeli cities on October 7, 2023, killing about 1,200 people and taking over 250 hostages, released 20 Israeli hostages today. In exchange for the hostages, Israel will release 250 Palestinian prisoners and more than 1,700 detainees.  /CNA
