The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, during his victory speech in South Mitrovica, said that the entity he leads is the winner of the local elections.

According to him, PDK has the largest number of municipalities won without a runoff, has won the largest number of municipal assemblies, and is the party with the most municipalities that will participate in the November 9 runoff.

PDK has declared victory in the first round in South Mitrovica, where its candidate Arian Tahiri is leading, although the counting there has not yet been completed, REL writes. Tahiri, however, according to exit polls, will take the municipality in the first round.

In Skenderaj, PDK will win without a runoff, a municipality where the counting is almost complete. This entity is expected to take Ferizaj in the first round as well. Meanwhile, it also leads in other municipalities, such as Vushtrri, Kaçanik, Hani i Elezit and Prizren./CNA
