The progress of the electoral process in Kosovo/ The State Prosecutor provides

The State Prosecutor in Kosovo has issued a statement to the media regarding the progress of today's election process. The statement states that of all the cases reported for violations, after verifications, only two of them have presented elements of committing criminal offenses against voting rights. Meanwhile, the two detained persons have been released by decision of the prosecutor.

"The first case was initiated in the village of Bare - South Mitrovica, for the criminal offense: 'Violation of the secrecy of voting', where the suspect was released in regular procedure by decision of the prosecutor. Meanwhile, the second case was initiated in Kllokot - Gjilan, for the criminal offense: 'Violation of the free determination of voters', where the suspect was released in regular procedure by decision of the prosecutor," the announcement states.

For the local elections held today, the State Prosecution had engaged around 100 prosecutors and prosecutorial officials to guarantee the integrity of the electoral process. The prosecutors were deployed in the prosecutor's offices or police stations, cooperating with the Kosovo Police to prevent any irregularities./CNA
