Alarming shortage of scabies medication in Britain

Britain is facing an alarming shortage of the most commonly used scabies medicine as cases of the Victorian disease are on the rise, reports The Sun.

Scabies is a highly contagious condition caused by mites that burrow into the skin, creating a severe itchy rash that can last for months.

Pharmacists have warned that supplies of the UK's two most commonly used scabies treatments, permethrin cream and malathion lotion, are running out due to increased demand.

Experts fear the lack of treatment options could severely impact Britons' quality of life, increasing the risk of unpleasant skin infections and mental health issues.
