VIDEO-Robbers violate the pedestrian, try to steal his sweatshirt, the expert's warning

A UK criminology expert has warned that the latest spate of Canada Goose sweatshirt robberies could be the start of a new trend in luxury crime and is advising anyone who owns expensive clothing and goes out on the streets to be careful.

The highly desirable sweaters, which can fetch up to £1,700, have been targeted by thieves across the country.

There have been cases where robbers have broken into cars, violently robbed pedestrians and even attacked them with knives.

On Sunday, shocking footage was recorded of two hooded thugs chasing and assaulting a man as they tried to steal his sweatshirt.

A boy told the case where he was attacked with a knife by a group of robbers.

Alongside the published video, he advised his followers: "Don't die for Canada Goose"./ CNA
