International arrest warrant issued for Dodik/Two other officials wanted

A court in Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an international arrest warrant for Milorad Dodik and two other officials, after the President of Bosnia's Serb-majority entity, Republika Srpska, ignored a state-level arrest warrant last week.

The other two are the entity's prime minister, Radovan Viskovic, and the speaker of the National Assembly, Nenad Stevandic. The order means that any police officer in the country who encounters them must arrest them immediately.

They are accused of unconstitutional behavior. Bosnian media reports that Stevandic left the country for Serbia over the weekend and is currently abroad.

Prosecutors in Bosnia issued arrest warrants for the trio last week, which have not been executed. The nationwide warrant is issued automatically if those wanted by the state-level prosecutor's office fail to appear for questioning, as is the case with the three Bosnian Serb officials. /CNA
