"Arrest warrants have been issued for four people"/ Macedonian

The Minister of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia, Pance Toshkovski, in a statement to the media, provided details of the Kocani tragedy.

Toshkovski announced that 59 people have lost their lives and 155 are injured. Toshkovski said that only 35 victims have been identified.  

The Minister of Interior of the Republic of Macedonia said that among the victims was a police officer, who was on duty to detect drugs and minors in the nightclub.

" As of 11:30, according to the information I have, a total of 59 people have died. Of these, 35 have been identified. Of those identified, 31 people are from Kocani, 4 from Shtip. The number of injured, according to the latest data I received by 12 noon, is 155 people. A police officer from the Probishtip Police Station also lost his life, who was currently engaged in official duty, namely acting according to a preliminary plan prepared for the control of hotel facilities in the area of ??illicit drug trafficking and the presence of minors in the discotheque in question ," Toshkovski declared.

Minister Toshkovski announced that four arrest warrants have been issued for the Kocani tragedy, whose identities he did not disclose due to the investigation.

He also did not say whether there were any arrests or people questioned about the Kocani discotheque tragedy.

" A central arrest warrant has been issued for four people. The Ministry of Interior, in coordination with the Public Prosecutor's Office, is also working with the Ministry of Economy, where documentation related to the discotheque in question is being obtained, as well as the people associated with it. Everything that could be related to this terrible event is being analyzed. Both in terms of the technical construction documentation, as in terms of the necessary prerequisites for putting such a facility into operation, as in terms of the relevant licenses that it had to possess, as in terms of the specific action taken during the event, as in terms of securing the same, action according to regulations and bylaws, and so on, " said Pance Toshkovski, Minister of Internal Affairs./ CNA
