This Saturday will be an important day in Serbia, as the country prepares for what could be the largest student protest since the tragic collapse of a train station tent in Novi Sad, which claimed 15 lives.
The tragedy, widely linked to corruption, has sparked public outrage and protests have gathered momentum ever since, with increasing intensity.
This Saturday, students and farmers will gather in Belgrade for a massive demonstration. Students from across Serbia have begun a walking march towards the capital, with some groups walking more than 150 kilometers over five days.

Along the way, they have been met with support and solidarity from the citizens of the cities they are passing through.
Farmers will go to Belgrade with tractors and their number is quite large.

Massive convoys of vehicles are forming at the entrances to Belgrade as people from all over Serbia head to the capital for student protests.
The convergence of students, farmers and supporters is expected to make Saturday's protest one of the largest in the city's history./ CNA
