Saturday's protest in Belgrade / Vučić threatens with arrests

Thousands of people are gathering in Serbia's capital, Belgrade, on the eve of a major anti-government protest, despite official warnings of planned violence.

Tens of thousands more are expected to gather for Saturday's protest, seen as a culmination of months of demonstrations and a test for President Aleksandar Vucic's government.

Some believe that Saturday's demonstration could mark the turning point and the end of the game that has shaken Serbian President Aleksandar Vu?i?'s firm grip on power.

As thousands of protesters arrive in Belgrade from across the country, Vucic has warned that the rally could end in bloodshed. He threatened mass arrests of protesters if they resort to violence./CNA
