The German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, has stated that Germany will send more Gepard anti-aircraft tanks to Ukraine.

"We will continue to work to ensure that system is very efficient," Scholz said during a joint press conference with the world's financial and economic organizations.

The chancellor condemned the continued bombing and assured Ukraine of further short-term aid, government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit said in a press release, CNN writes. 

“Presidenti ukrainas ka shprehur mirënjohjen e tij për mbështetjen shumë të gjithanshme të Gjermanisë në terma monetarë, por edhe në aspektin e dërgesave të armëve, sepse artileria dhe sistemet e mbrojtjes ajrore që ne ofrojmë kanë një ndikim shumë domethënës në aftësinë e Ukrainës për të garantuar integritetin dhe sovranitetin e saj”, u tha Scholz gazetarëve.

Deri më sot, qeveria gjermane ka ofruar ndihmë financiare afatshkurtër për riparimin e infrastrukturës energjetike në shumën prej rreth 56 milionë euro (rreth 58 milionë dollarë), tha Hebestreit në njoftimin për shtyp. Gjermania po siguron gjithashtu mbi 350 gjeneratorë pasi Ukraina vuan nga ndërprerjet e energjisë elektrike për shkak të granatimeve ruse.
