Snow covers Bucharest/ 20 train trips canceled, flights diverted

Heavy snowfall has blanketed the city of Bucharest and other parts of southern Romania, causing major disruptions to road, rail and air transport.

In the capital, passengers experienced delays and disruptions to transport services, while vehicles were left covered in snow.

Roads and tracks were covered in snow, with vehicles stranded and traffic visibly obstructed.

Flights were canceled or diverted, while some planes waiting to land at Bucharest airport were diverted to other airports.

Rail services were severely affected, as over 20 trains cancelled their journeys, with delays of up to several hours between Bucharest and other cities, such as Brasov and Constanta. /CNA
