Shtete të mëdha po përpiqen që të zgjasin armëpushimin në Rripin e Gazës ndërkohë Papa Françesku u ka bërë apel që armëpushimi të vazhdojë.

"Ju lutemi vazhdoni të luteni për situatën e rëndë në Izrael dhe Palestinë. Paqe ju lutem, paqe!".

Edhe pse në gjendje jo të mirë shëndetësore, Papa Françesku ka kërkuar paqe jo vetëm për Palestinën dhe Izraelin por edhe për Ukrainën.

"Shpresoj se armëpushimi në vazhdim në Gaza do të vazhdojë, në mënyrë që të gjithë pengjet të lirohen dhe qasja në ndihmën e nevojshme humanitare do të lejohet ende. Kam dëgjuar nga famullia atje, nuk ka ujë, nuk ka bukë. Njerëzit janë duke vuajtur. Janë njerëzit e thjeshtë, njerëzit e thjeshtë që vuajnë. Ata që bëjnë luftë nuk vuajnë. Ne kërkojmë paqe dhe të mos harrojmë kur flasim për paqen popullin e dashur ukrainas, që vuan kaq shumë, ende në luftë", tha Papa./ CNA
