Economic trend in Albania/ Ibrahimaj: Construction, positive contribution

The Minister of Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj, stated that the Albanian economy has maintained its growth trend throughout the year, mainly thanks to the services sector. According to the latest data, the largest positive contribution came from construction.

The education and health sectors contributed about 1%, while trade had a positive performance of 0.22%. In sectoral details, construction, administration, education and health performed well, while trade also recorded growth.

On the other hand, the fourth quarter of the year marked a negative performance for the communications sector, where the decline was influenced by telecommunications activities.

A positive development was observed in the IT sector, which is closely linked to the country's economic development and marked growth in the last quarter.

The agriculture sector recorded a decline, which was affected by agricultural production during the reported period.

"According to economic activities, the economy has maintained the trend of the year. Growth has come from services. For a detailed picture, the most positive contribution has been made by construction, Education and Health 1.0%, trade, 0.22%.
