Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, presented the draft budget for 2026 at today's plenary session.
In his speech, Malaj said that in 2026, revenue from profit tax is expected to reach 61.5 billion lek.
The minister also spoke about the volume of investments, saying that next year it is expected to be 15.5 billion lek more than in 2025.
As for the reconstruction fund, the minister said it will amount to 5 billion lek.
" Revenues from the profit tax are expected to reach 61.5 billion lek. Budgetary expenditures, which constitute the concrete overview of the objectives and show where the taxes of Albanians go. Expenditures for compensation of former owners, 3.5 billion lek. Expenditures for unemployment compensation are expected to be 1 billion lek. Expenditures for the baby bonus are expected to be 2.3 billion lek. The reconstruction fund is expected to be 5 billion lek. The volume of investments in 2026 is expected to be 15.5 billion lek more than in 2025.
4.4 billion more lek in education. Textbooks will be financed in advance for about 220 thousand students, 15 thousand students from needy groups in secondary and higher education.
The health sector comes with an additional 15 million euros. The draft budget will prioritize the financing of prescription drug reimbursement for about 400 thousand patients , "said Malaj./ CNA
