Moody's reaffirms Albania's rating at "Ba3" with a stable outlook

The international credit rating agency Moody's Ratings, in its periodic review conducted this month, has reconfirmed Albania's long-term sovereign credit rating at "Ba3", with a "stable" outlook.

Moody's assesses the sustainability of the Albanian economy and predicts real GDP growth of 3.6% for 2025 and 3.5% for 2026.

The economic growth outlook is expected to be supported mainly by the development of the tourism sector, the steady flow of Foreign Direct Investment, especially in energy and tourism, as well as by increased participation in the labor market.

The agency also projects that the public debt-to-GDP ratio will gradually decrease to around 51% in 2027, from 52.6% estimated for 2025. This improvement is expected to be supported by economic growth and a balanced or slightly positive primary fiscal balance. /CNA
