I am sorry (and I don't like it at all) that for a century this debate about headscarves on the head of Albanian women has been opened and reopened in our country.

Albania from early on, but officially since King Zog, has resolved this debate. We are officially and legally a secular country. The religious sphere is separated from the public one.

King Zog dressed his Matian Muslim sisters as Europeans.

Today, the handkerchief to those/those who were scolded for having many superior values ??and made them better than the rest of us, let them use it.

For this, human rights, freedom of public exercise of belief, etc., come to their aid.

Në Europë, Kanada për modë marrin në kabinete qeveritare shumë shamivënëse mbi kaptinë, me gjasme multikulturalisht edhe myslimane... të pa krehura nën shaminë atje poshtë.

Por unë nënën gjyshen stërgjyshen i kam pasur myslimane pa shami, pa perçe se ne jetonim më mal e në vende ku gruaja ishte e respektuar për punët që bënte në familje e në bashkësi. Që e mbushte vatrën familjare me bukë e me fëmijë.

Jo për atë që të mbante perçe a shami. Nuk di sa fëmijë bëjnë sot që të mbushin vatrën plot këto myslimanet e depiluara nën shami. Ato nuk i ndalon kush...kanë të drejtën e tyre të depilohen dhe të mbulohen ...

Të vijmë te debati publik... shamia a jo shamia? Ne e kemi mbyllur këtë llogari. Secili a secila bën ashtu si do dhe ashtu si di. Nuk na e shet dot shaminë si vlerë me që na e dashkan ky, apo ai.

Such debates turn us back...when they mention human rights and other...values ??sold as freedom as modernity. It's useless for us who have a centuries-old experience, a story... of the Muslim Albanian woman, a pious family, with...even...without a headscarf
