DP: AKSHI spent millions of euros without transparency on maintaining health

The spokesperson for the Anti-Corruption Unit in the Democratic Party, Genta Vangjeli, denounced today that for the maintenance of health information, the National Agency for Health Insurance (ANASHI) spent millions of euros of the same company with closed procedures and without transparency. 

"While Albanian healthcare is in a deplorable state, with chronic shortages of medications in Oncology, Pediatrics and other hospitals, the National Agency for the Information Society (AKSHI) under Edi Rama continues to spend millions of euros on dubious contracts.

For the maintenance of the health information system alone, NAHI has spent 7 million euros with VAT during the period 2018-2025, using closed and non-transparent procedures, with negotiation without publication of the contract notice, and with the same beneficiary in each case.

So:

For QSUT, 4 maintenance contracts have been signed with a total value of 4.3 million euros (2018, 2020, 2022, 2025).

Although the object is the same, the value of the contracts has increased from 800 thousand euros in 2018 to 1.6 million euros in 2025.

For the University Trauma Hospital - 4 contracts have been signed with a total value of 1.8 million euros (2019, 2021, 2023, 2025).

The value has almost tripled from 300 thousand euros in 2019 to 888 thousand euros in 2025.

"For the 'Shefqet Ndroqi' Hospital, 3 contracts worth 517 thousand euros have been signed (2019, 2022, 2024)", said Vangjeli. /CNA
