CNA today published documents and facts about how Erion Veliaj, the mayor who is in Durrës prison on 13 charges for 5 serious criminal offenses, and his brother under investigation, Arbër Veliaj, have paid 220 thousand dollars to lobby SBBA against justice, against SPAK. (READ HERE )

 

CNA has obtained and published the declarations of the lobbying company "Kasowitz LLP", submitted to FARA, to the US Department of Justice, which also shows the amount paid by Erion and Arbër Veliaj for lobbying in the US, which amounts to 219,945 euros. The payments were made with the aim of contacting and communicating with congressmen, senators and the media for various publications regarding the case of Erion Veliaj and Arbër Veliaj.

 

Through reports, CNA also published documents with the names of those contacted by e-mail, which include senators, virtual meetings, meetings with senators' staffs, congressmen, there were phone calls and constant communications.

But let's take a look at Veliaj's exposed deceptions that stem from these documents.

 

Fraud 1. Prosecutor Ols Dado active member of the authoritarian opposition party

In addition to the $220,000 lobbying, from documents on the Department of Justice website, in a letter to the US Senator, Durbin highlighted another detail declared by the lobbying company.

The report emphasized that SPAK personnel involved in the Veliaj investigation are in conflict.

The document states that prosecutor Ols Dado is an active member of the authoritarian opposition party, the Democratic Party, the latter led by Sali Berisha. ( READ HERE )

Reading these lines is both scandalous and ridiculous. It is a public deception after Sali Berisha is a person being investigated by SPAK for corruption, who was initially given the security measure of house arrest and then an obligation to appear, while the trial continues.

Besides the fact that Sali Berisha is sanctioned by the US and Great Britain, he is one of the characters who has attacked SPAK the most.

Fraud 2. Prosecutor Ols Dado property developer

 

Another lie is that prosecutor Ols Dado is a property developer and he submitted a request to the Mayor of Tirana to modify a building permit on the property he owned, which was denied.

Today, CNA has published that 150 days have passed since neither Erion Veliaj, nor his lobbying studio, nor his lawyers, nor anyone else, have been able to publish a single document showing that Ols Dado has requested to make an addition or modify his property and the document that Ols Dado was denied this action.



Fraud 3. Erion is assigned a judge with strong ties to the DP

 

Another deception is that SPAK ensures that Erion's case is assigned to a judge with strong known ties to the opposition Democratic Party. While SPAK cannot do this, because SPAK is the prosecutor, the GJKKO is a separate institution. The cases are discussed before being reviewed, lots are drawn and there is a procedure well-defined by law, made by the Justice Reform, which Erion Veliaj himself voted for.

So Erion Veliaj and Arbër Veliaj lobbied in the US, paying $220,000 to fabricate lies and deceive the public, smearing prosecutors, judges, the judiciary, and SPAK.

But Veliaj should not forget that the real fight he has is with justice, which he must face, as the frauds are being revealed to him./ CNA
