The police have issued an official statement regarding the arrest of another person involved in the assassination attempt on a businessman in Elbasan. Citizen NS, 29 years old, has been arrested, a person with a significant criminal record in several areas, including attempted murder.

The 29-year-old accomplice in the assassination has been arrested for the criminal offenses of "Premeditated Murder", committed in collaboration, and "Unlicensed Production and Possession of Weapons, Explosive Weapons and Ammunition".

The police announced that they have seized 1 vehicle, 1 mobile phone and other items that will serve the ongoing investigation to clarify the incident. The number of those arrested for the assassination has increased to three, after the victim's former partner and the guard at the gas station where the murder took place were arrested the day before.

Following the operational actions carried out on the basis and on behalf of the intensive investigations being carried out to legally document the authorship and circumstances of the murder committed on 30.11.2025, in the outdoor environment of a gas station in the "Emin Matraxhiu" neighborhood, the specialists for the Investigation of Serious Crimes executed the prosecutor's order to detain the citizen:

-NS, 29 years old, resident of Prrenjas, for the criminal offenses of "Premeditated murder", committed in collaboration, and "Unlicensed production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".

The verifications revealed that this citizen had a criminal record for attempted murder, illegal possession of weapons, coercion through threats/violence for the release of property, as well as theft.

Meanwhile, from the investigations so far, it is suspected that he was involved in the incident that occurred on the evening of 30.11.2025, in the outdoor environment of a gas station in the "Emin Matraxhiu" neighborhood, where citizen MM alias EH was shot and killed.
