Kosovo Police have arrested a person suspected of organized crime and various criminal offenses.

Citizen AB was arrested by order of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, in the Pristina region, on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of 'participation in or organization of a criminal group', 'unauthorized import, export, supply, transportation, production, exchange, brokerage or sale of weapons or explosive materials', 'forgery of documents' and 'identity theft and access device'.

Citizen AB is suspected of being the leader of a criminal group, in complicity, of purchasing weapons and ammunition, with the intention of transporting and selling them. He is also suspected of forging documents and stealing a foreign identity with the intent to defraud.

During the arrest at the house where the suspect was staying, the following relevant evidence was seized: 52,480 euros in cash, a Swedish driver's license, a Swedish ID card, three (3) mobile phones, a gold Rolex watch, a HDD SEAGATE P/N. 1TEAPS-500, a DVR and a car.

The suspect, a Swedish citizen, has been detained for 48 hours and within the legal deadline, the SPRK will submit a request for the imposition of a preventive measure to the Basic Court in Pristina. /CNA
