Who is Ervis Lami?/ The connection to Martinaj's disappearance

The show "Në Shënjestër" has published the profile of Ervis Lam, one of the most wanted names currently by the police. According to the show, Lami is suspected of involvement in several serious incidents, including:

-the murder of postman Lulzim Visha on January 25, 2025 in Zall Mner,

-the murder of Isuf Jaçaj with explosives in Saranda,

-the placement of TNT in Saimir Sina's business in Kamëz.

Lami is also accused of being connected to several disappearances of people and criminal groups involved in mafia assassinations. According to details revealed in the show, he may also have knowledge of the disappearance of Ervis Martinaj, although this has not been proven.

Ervis Lami has previous criminal records, including participation in the sensational escape of seven convicts from Drenova prison in 2013, for which he served his sentence.

Lami is today considered one of the most dangerous people in the country and continues to be wanted for several open cases.

Businessmen who have been ruined beyond recovery and in the worst case have decided to submit to their bad luck, bowing their heads and leaving their wealth in the hands of these evildoers.

As has happened in Shkodra or many other cities in Albania, where these criminal organizations are spread like cancerous metastases and function in an organized manner with prominent exponents in terms of their criminal activity.

One of them is Ervis Lami, cousin of Jeton Lami, both of whom are today accused of placing TNT in the business of citizen Sajmir Sina, on the morning of November 15, 2025 in Kamëz.

So who is Ervis Lami, and why is he considered one of the most dangerous people in Albania today?

A rich criminal activity that begins early and is linked to a series of events where he turns out to be the main protagonist.

Lami is currently wanted for the recent TNT explosion in Kamëz, but also for the murder of postman Lulzim Visha, who was working for a private post office.

He was shot on the morning of January 25, 2025, with gunfire just 200 m from his apartment in the village of Zall Mner in Tirana, while he was inside the car of the company where he worked, as it is believed that the perpetrators were positioned in the front of the car.

This is also based on the gunshots left in the front of the vehicle. Lulzim Visha was found dead inside the car he was driving at 7.40 in the morning by residents of the area.

Upon arrival, the police found 12 shell casings at the scene in the vehicle where the victim was. Ervis Lami was declared wanted for this assassination, while his cousin Eduart Lami was arrested, only to be released a year later.

The investigation initially focused on revenge, as the victim was the citizen's brother, Besnik Visha, a name known to the police after he was found to have killed Refik Domin with a firearm in 1997.

This incident occurred near the Agricultural University of Tirana. The gray Porsche vehicle of Lulzim Visha's killers was found burned a few hours after the murder in the Zall Herri area of ??Tirana. A weapon was also found inside the burned car, while the license plates were found to have been stolen in 2023. But these are not the only criminal events in which Ervis Lami is suspected of being involved.

The list of events he is suspected of being involved in is long, and his name is found in several files related to mafia assassinations and extortion.

But the most sensational and confirmed by a court decision, where one of the convicts is Ervis Lami, is related to what happened on November 23, 2013 in the Drenova prison in Korça, where 7 convicts, helped by an external group, who supplied them with weapons, led by Ervis Lami, who was only 19 years old at the time, broke out of the prison and escaped.

Prisoners with high social risk, the most important of which was Admir Tafilaj, convicted of the murder of Police Commissioner Arben Zylyftari in 2000. Along with Admir Tafilaj, Fran Marashi, Eduart Lulo, Gëzim Toma, Gëzim Guri, Reis Haxhiraj and Flatur Gora also escaped.

Due to the movement from one institution to another, the convicts got to know each other. Admir Tafili also got to know Ervis Lamin in prison, with whom he would create a strong friendly bond. "Admir Tafilaj, Gëzim Guri and Fran Marashi, have served their prison sentences in other institutions as well.

During these periods, they became acquainted with citizens Ervis Lami and Alfred Qefalia, who were also serving prison sentences.

After this, a close friendship was created between Admir Tafilaj, Alfred Qefalia and Ervis Lam. And after Ervis's release, they continued to maintain contact via telephone," the investigative file states.

But how did Ervis Lami help Admir Tafilaj escape from prison and how were he and his group able to smuggle firearms into the high-security prison, which were then, as the file shows, placed at the heads of the guards who were unprepared?

It turns out that the plan was detailed by Admir Tafilaj, but that he needed external people to finalize it. One of them who is willing to help him finalize this plan is Ervis Lami.

“Admir Tafilaj, Fran Marashi, and Gëzim Guri, while serving their sentence at the Korça Penitentiary Institution, devised a plan to leave the place where they were serving their sentence.

For this reason, they communicated with people who were outside the Korça Penitentiary Institution.

These people are Ervis Lami, Bledjan Deda, Alfred Qefalia, Albi Mcimi and Olsian Maçi. Some of these people, in addition to Olsian, have met with citizen Admir Tafilaj at the Korça Penitentiary Institution. During the meetings, Admir told them about the idea he had to leave prison.

For this, he has asked for help from citizens Ervis Lami, Bledjan Deda, Alfred Qefalia and Albi Mcimi, who in turn have also contacted Olsian.

Admir also communicated with the latter on the phone, from where Olsiani agreed to help.

"Whereupon the five people met with each other and agreed that they would help the prisoners escape from the Korca Penitentiary Institution," the file states.

According to the investigative file provided by the show "Në Shënjestër", the assistance they would provide to Admir and his friends consisted of bringing weapons and ammunition into the Korça Penitentiary Institution and then leaving using vehicles and their assistance.

Their task was to assemble and hide these weapons in a refrigerator, which they would send to prison, and then Admir would ensure that this refrigerator reached him in the cell where he was.

For this purpose, Ervis Lami calls a person to his apartment who brings him weapons and ammunition.

Specifically, two Kalashnikov assault rifles, two TT pistols, a Shars assault rifle, as well as two magazines of ammunition for all weapons.

The criminal group, according to a well-thought-out plan, also decides to buy a used refrigerator, where after removing the lids, they mount the weapons.

According to the investigative file, immediately after they brought the refrigerator with the weapons inside the prison, the group led by Ervis Lami settled in the city of Korça, where they also studied the routes their friends, led by Admir Tafilaj, would take after their escape.

How and where they would throw the ropes with nails, as well as the place where they would place the explosives.

"To succeed in their plan, the criminal group secured a rope with nails, a quantity of TNT of 200 grams and a crime scene tape days ago. Which they would use to create a situation of confusion that would help them to leave after the prisoners escaped," the file states.

After completing all the external and internal organization, the two groups, the one led by Admir Tafilaj, inside the prison and the one led by Ervis Lami outside, decided that their plan would be realized on November 23, 2013, when Ervis Lami and his group arrived in the city of Korça. The next day, it is said that they were divided into two groups.

The first group included Albi Mcimi, Olsian Maçi and Alfred Qefalia, who were traveling in a 'Passat' car. The second group included Ervis Lami and Bledjan Dedja, in a 'Peugeot' vehicle.

The first vehicle had barbed wire and police crime scene tape, while the second vehicle had explosives prepared by Ervis Lami.

“On November 23, 2013, at around 6:00 p.m., Admir Tafilaj called the group and told them to leave.

The first group, which is located near the road leading to the prison, places the rope with nails and police tapes on the ground, while Ervis and Blediani place the explosive material near the Police Station, in the Iljaz Bey mosque, in a place where the explosion would only cause material damage, since it was a place that was not usually guarded by people. The explosion that they would command by mobile phone. After finishing these tasks, the two groups reunited in the cemetery of the village of Qatrom.

Meanwhile, inside the prison, Admir Tafilaj, Fran Marashi and Gëzim Guri begin to carry out their part of the escape plan," the file states.

According to the detailed escape plan, Admir Tafilaj gave weapons to other prisoners, with the aim of causing panic.

This was also to buy time and not give the guards a chance to organize themselves. Something that, seeing it through to the end, was carried out perfectly, bringing the escape plan to completion.

Oriented almost perfectly, the convicts manage to get to the outer perimeter of the prison under threat of weapons.

To avoid feeling their annoyance, they decide to have the guards lock them inside the prison toilets.

The moment they left the prison, a group led by Ervis Lami was waiting for them.

A plan that seemed to be successful until the moment of release from prison, as all the escapees were quickly caught and re-convicted.

Just as Ervis Lami and his group, who were in Korça at the time, were caught red-handed.

But after serving his sentence for aiding the sensational escape of 7 convicts in 2013, including his friend, Admir Tafilaj, it turns out that Ervis Lami did not stop his criminal activity.

His name is now listed as a suspect in many other criminal events, for which he is currently wanted, such as the murder of postman Lulzim Visha in January 2025.

He is suspected of having strong ties to Eldjan Allushi and Kristo Qiric, the latter the brother of Edmond Papa, executed in Tirana in 2022, in revenge for the murder of Aleksandër Sadikaj with an explosive device.

In the saga of the Sadikaj-Kalemi clash on one side and the Pope on the other, there are many victims, failed assassination attempts, but also disappearances. Such as the disappearance of Leonard Thodhori and Fatmir Sulovari alias Krasniqi in Saranda. Their fate is unknown even today.

Although the police have carried out checks in the villages of Vrinë and Xarrë and on the properties of Eldjan Allushi's father.

Investigators suspect that Ervis Lami also played a role in their disappearance.

The same group is suspected of having kidnapped and disappeared Aleksandër Sadikaj's friend, Eraldo Muçi. Traces of the latter appear in the area controlled by 31-year-old Lami, who has today become a "terror" for the state police, but also for his opponents.

Investigators suspect that Lam's criminal group organized the explosive murder of Isuf Jacaj in Saranda.

Isuf Jacaj, who is the father of Klaus Jacaj, who helped Ramazan Jacaj escape after injuring him in Saranda in July of this year, Ernest Lama and Gëzim Hoxhaj, close friends of Ervis Lama.

While Ervis Lami is thought to have knowledge of the disappearance of gambling king Ervis Martinaj, whose fate has been unknown since August 9, 2022.

Today, Lami is one of the most talked-about names in the criminal world, dominating many areas and gaining significant territory, thus creating his first strong opponents. As it turns out, he is also on the police's most wanted list.
