Stole 4 vehicles/ 21-year-old arrested

Police have cracked down on a car theft case.

As a result, a 21-year-old man was arrested, who turned out to have stolen 4 vehicles.

He had also stolen personal belongings.

The officers found and seized as material evidence the 4 vehicles stolen by the young man.

Operations continue to unravel previous vehicle thefts.

 

The police operation codenamed "Markat" is finalized.

 

He stole vehicles in various neighborhoods of Durrës and the Dibra district, with the aim of selling them to people with criminal records to commit crimes against life and person; the 21-year-old, wanted by the Durrës Police Commissariat, was caught and put in handcuffs.

 

4 vehicles stolen from this citizen were found and seized as material evidence.

 

The services of the Durrës Police Commissariat, following successive operations to uncover previously occurred thefts, identify and capture the perpetrators, based on information obtained through operational means, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Markat".

 

Based on the information obtained, the exchange and cooperation with Police Station No. 4 in Tirana and the Bulqiza Police Station, it was possible to capture and arrest in flagrante delicto the citizen K. Ll., 21 years old, born and residing in Bulqiza.

 

Criminal Investigation Specialists at the Durrës Police Station, following information received through operational channels, went to Bulqizë and, in cooperation with the services of the Bulqizë Police Station, conducted a search of the place where the wanted citizen was suspected to be.

 

The 21-year-old, who a few minutes earlier had stolen a Benz vehicle in the village of Gjorica, Bulqizë, owned by citizen V. Xh., as soon as he saw the police services, he quickly left with the vehicle, in the direction of Tirana.

 

As part of the "Markat" operation, the services of Police Station No. 4 in Tirana have made it possible to block the vehicle, as well as to arrest the 21-year-old, who has been handed over to the services of the Durrës Police Station for further action.

 

From the investigative actions carried out, it results that the 21-year-old has stolen three other vehicles in neighborhoods no. 15 and no. 17 of Durrës, as well as personal belongings in a vehicle, also in neighborhood no. 15, Durrës.

 

During the search, the Police Services found and seized stolen vehicles of the brands Benz, Toyota, Volkswagen and Ford Focus.

 

In cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, work continues to uncover other thefts allegedly committed by this citizen.

 

The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further action.
