Topalli: In Albania, the minority gets rich with power, while the majority lives

DP MP Jozefina Topalli has reacted on social media, stating that the situation in prisons is alarming. Topalli writes that over 150 prisoners have lost their lives in their cells and according to her, this should not be passed off as ordinary news.

She has expressed criticism of the government, writing that in Albania, a minority gets rich with power, while the majority lives in poverty.

The MP further says that while millions are spent on a one-day concert, 44.5% of families with children and 37% of families without children are at risk of poverty or social exclusion.

Full post:

And meanwhile... over 150 prisoners have lost their lives in their cells.

In a normal country, this would be a national alarm. Here it passes as ordinary news.

Because this is no longer a state. This is a millionaire's circus, where a few get rich in the dark, and the majority live in insecurity and fear.

This is the model you have built: an Albania where a minority enriches itself with power, while the majority lives in fear, insecurity, and poverty.

This is the model you have imposed on Albania: propaganda on the screen, poverty in families, fear in institutions, and impunity for the government.

Millions for a one-day stadium, for a Kanye West concert.

One night of music. One year of propaganda.

Meanwhile, according to Eurostat, 44.5% of families with children and 37% of families without children are at risk of poverty or social exclusion.

So, while half of the families count the money for their monthly bread, the state counts the spotlights for one night.

This is no longer irony. It is organized cynicism. /CNA
