The well-known actor from Korça, Zhani Ziçishti, passes away

This Wednesday, the well-known actor Zhani Ziçishti passed away at the age of 85.

Ziçishti was a beloved figure for the Albanian public, who knew the artist throughout the decades he dedicated himself to stage and cinema, as he masterfully performed in over 16 roles in feature films.

The actor's first role in cinema was that of teacher Agron in the film "River of Light" in 1970.

Zhani Ziçishti will remain in the memory of art lovers for his valuable contribution to film, theater and Albanian culture, and especially for the public of Korça, for whom he took to the stage thousands of times at the 'Anton Zako Çajupi' theater.

Tributes will take place in the Theater lobby on February 26, from 09:30-10:30. /CNA
